Noteworthy places to visit include Limoges, with its famous history in porcelain just 45 minutes drive away, the wonderfully picturesque town of Argenton-sur-Creuse or the historic tapestry town of Aubusson.
A wildlife park in Gueret dedicated to wolves, set in a stunning forest location. the park allows you to walk through various areas, where you are able to observe wolves and other animals.
The park also contains a museum, where you will find the History and a selection of myths and legends from around the world.

Outdoor pursuits
For equestrian pursuits, there are several riding stables in the area. Lac Chambon and Les Trois Lacs by the river Creuse provide ideal locations for swimming, kayaking, water ski-ing and boating.
Those who are interested in wildlife will not be disappointed. Deer, pine marten and foxes are regular visitors to the camp, with red squirrels in the surrounding woodland.
You may see buzzards, black and red kites and migratory flocks of cranes flying overhead. Kingfishers, herons and dippers visit our lake, while black, green and lesser spotted woodpeckers, nuthatches, hoopoe, jays and magpies, along with the usual garden birds that we all know can be spotted around our campsite.
